Class: "How to Talk to Your Kids About Sex"

We are blessed to have Mid-Cities pregnancy center coming to Living Word Lutheran Church, in April to teach the class ‘How to Talk to Your Kids About Sex’. This is a class for parents or other adults who have concerns about their child’s understanding and exposure to sex and is applicable to parents of kids of all ages. The class will be held from 6:30pm to 7:30pm April 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. Each night will have 45 minutes of teaching followed by 15 minutes of Q and A, for those who wish to stay. There will be a potluck each night at 6pm in the family life center then the class will be taught by Tiffany Papagno from mid-cities.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain insight into this important topic and is also an opportunity to invite friends and family to church.

Apartment Outreach-

April 20th 5-7pm. We will meet at Marina Del Rey Apartments in Grapevine.  Set up is at 4pm. We will have bounce houses, pizza, prize drawings and yard games! Needs: hand out pizza, oversee the bouncy houses, check in guests, start up conversations with those who are attending, set up and tear down. This is a way to build community and reach out with the love of Christ.

$1 Carwash

April 13th 1-3pm. We need 10-15 people at each location. Needs: Wash and dry cars, talk to those getting cars washed and hand out a $1 bill provided by the church along with info. about the church. By washing people’s cars and instead of receiving payment, we give to them, we show that God breaks the mold as to what our expectations should be in our relationship with Him.

I am very excited for this summer and all the opportunities for our youth to learn more about and serve our God. Summer trips are one of the best ways for our youth to grown in their faith as well as to build the lifelong relationships with their peers. One of my favorite parts of ministry is the stories that our kids share with each other and those new to the ministry. Friendships are started and built on trips like these.
