2025 Mission Trips
What: Youth Fellowship
Where: Corpus Christi
When: June 9th – June 12th
Who: 6-12th Grade
Cost: $200
Details: We will leave LWLC at 6am on the 9th. We will spend some time each day on a series of devotions where the kids will get a chance to learn about and deepen their faith. We will spend some time at the beach but also visiting some other nearby attractions as well. We will be cooking at the house for this trip, but money will be needed for food on the way to and from Corpus Christi. This is a perfect event to invite friends to as it will be a lot of fun but will also offer plenty of time to talk about our faith and have fellowship other members of the LWLC youth group. We will be leaving early on the 12th and getting back to LWLC in the early afternoon.
What: International Family Trip
Where: Puerto Viejo Costa Rica
When: June 14th - June 20th
Who: All ages
Cost: $900
Details: Women’s ministry, children's ministry, construction, Youth ministry, and lots of outreach. This will be our 6th time partnering with the same local church in Costa Rica. There are so many avenues available to us to minister and I am very excited to go back and continue to build relationships with the congregation as well as the community.
What: Sr. High Mission Trip
Where: Minneapolis Minnesota
When: June 21st – June 27th
Who: 9th- College
Cost: $375
Details: We will leave LWLC very early on the 21st and spend the night in Kansas City Kansas, then drive the rest of the way to Minneapolis the next day, staying the rest of the week at a local church. In Minneapolis we will be working with the homeless and the elderly. This year we will be cooking our own meals, so I will need a parent or adult who is willing to come along and help with cooking, the youth will be expected to help. We will leave Minneapolis early on the 27th and return late that night to LWLC.
What: All-Church Mission Trip
Where: Spartanburg South Carolina
When: July 11-14
Who: All ages - young and old
Cost: No Cost: Just cover your own transportation
Details: LWLC will be trying something new this year, we will be having an all-church mission trip, to Spartanburg South Carolina July 11th through the 14th. We will be serving at a LCMC church plant, Rejoice Lutheran Church. Our church will be coming along side of Rejoice to help them reach their community for Christ. This will be primarily an outreach trip, as we work in the local community. There is no cost for this trip once you get there, but you will be responsible for your own transportation. We will be staying at the church during the mission trip, cooking and sleeping in the building. If you want to get outside accommodations, that will be your responsibility. This trip will have service opportunities for all ages and skill levels, and all are invited to participate as we are all called to be missionaries. There will be a number of different projects that we will be taking part in, and the numbers of our members and our skill levels will determine what we can get done.
